Hello fellow bloggers,
The musical I watched this week is Oliver. Oliver is based of the book Oliver Twist which is written by Charles Dickens. This was made into a musical in the 1930's and made into a movie in 1968. The movie version was directed by Sir Carol Reed and Mark Lester as Oliver.
This musical is about an orphaned boy who runs away from the orphanage and meets up with a group of boys who pick pockets. There is a more modern version of this musical which is August Rush. If you haven't seen either of these movies please do because they are both really good.
So you watched the 1930's version? Or was that just a stage musical?
ReplyDeleteI watched the 1930's version because that is the one I had access to.
